Stove Potpourri & Wreaths

Dec 4: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Herrig Center For The Arts

Stovetop potpourri traces back to European winter traditions, where simmering citrus, spices, and herbs filled homes with warmth during the coldest months. Guests will assemble their own aromatic blend, perfect for gifting or enjoying at home, to bring a cozy, old-world fragrance into the season. This hands-on activity pairs classic holiday scents with a simple, modern Gulf Coast twist.

Holiday wreaths, rooted in ancient traditions, symbolize eternal life and prosperity. In the 16th century, evergreens and dried oranges, a symbol of abundance, became a cherished part of European holiday decor. Adding a Gulf Coast twist, the dried oranges also honor the importance of citrus to our region’s history and heritage. At the European Holiday Market, guests can craft their own wreaths with dried oranges, blending old-world charm with a festive, locally inspired experience.
